Meet Our Head of School
Celebrating forty-three years of excellence in Christian education!
After serving as Secondary Bible teacher and Assistant Head of School at NHCS for a combined total of four years, Mr. Matt Mitchell became Head of School in 2007.
Mr. Mitchell holds an undergraduate degree in Biblical and Theological Studies and a Master of Education degree with a
concentration in Educational Leadership - both from Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA.
Prior to entering the field of education, Mr. Mitchell had a successful career in business and business management in Atlanta, GA and Chattanooga, TN.
When Mr. Mitchell became Head of School at NHCS, his predecessor, Mrs. Carolyn Barker, commented, "It is gratifying to leave this school I love so much in such capable hands. Mr. Mitchell brings a rare combination of deep biblical knowledge, a servant's heart, an educator's mind and tremendous business acumen."
Mr. Mitchell noted, "I am deeply passionate about Christian education and profoundly grateful to those who serve at North Hills Christian School. I tell people often: I am at North Hills Christian School to do kingdom work, but I am also here so that my own children may reap the benefits of such a high quality, biblically grounded educational institution."
