Art-Children will be using fine motor skills that are needed to draw, color, cut and paste. Students will be introduced to basic art and crafts that go along with the academics, seasons and Bible lessons.
Bible-Students will learn of major Bible characters, truths and songs. Bible lessons will be taught and followed up with question and answer time. Doctrinal drills will be taught. Students will learn memory verses and put into practice their teaching. God wants us to share His word with others, and by studying His word children gain knowledge to go out and share His love.
Math-Students will recognize the number formation and concept of numbers 1-20. The God of all creation numbered the stars in the sky and each hair on our head. Numbers go on to infinity because we could never count the blessings God has bestowed upon us. The ability to recognize numbers allows children to read, write and understand things presented to them.
Phonics & Writing-Students will be able to recognize the upper and lower case letters. They will also be able to recognize beginning sounds when shown a picture of an item. They will be able to differentiate between long and short vowels and consonants. The student will be able to combine all consonant sounds with short & long vowel sounds as the beginning formation of word, and begin reading the words in Little Books 1-10.
