Dawn Gilland teaches 6th grade students in Bible, Language Arts, Science, Math and History. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Dance Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her Master's Degree in K-6 Education from A & T University in Greensboro. She joined the NHCS faculty in 2018 after retiring from Public School with 30 years of teaching experience. She is soon to celebrate 30 years of marriage and has 2 boys, ages 20 and 23. She feels blessed to be a part of NHCS and loves her students and the new friendships she has made with colleagues. She believes that the supportive Christian environment of NHCS encourages a firm foundation of strong character and morals for students.
