Gwen Matthews

Gwen Matthews trained in classical ballet and Broadway jazz in Portland, OR. She taught at the junior, senior high levels and Community College in the Portland theater scene. Following her conversion to Christ, Gwen directed/choreographed church youth musicals and drama at Spring Mountain Bible in Clackamas, OR. Later, she trained missionaries in evangelistic mime theater at International Teams in Chicago, IL. After moving to North Carolina, Gwen directed and choreographed youth musicals and drama at the Piedmont Players Norvell Theater where she staged more than 20 productions over an eight year span. Since 2016 she has been thrilled to work at NHCS with the budding thespians and staff team members in this Christian learning community.
